How to use
Boil Water: Bring fresh water to a rolling boil. The quality of the water can impact the flavor, so use filtered water if possible.
Measure Tea: Use one teaspoon of Tanay Ceylon Black Tea leaves per cup of water. Adjust the amount based on your taste preference.
Preheat Teapot or Cup: Pour a little hot water into the teapot or cup to warm it up, then discard the water.
Add Tea Leaves: Place the measured tea leaves into the teapot or a tea infuser if brewing in a cup.
Pour Boiling Water: Pour the boiling water over the tea leaves.
Steep: Let the tea steep for about 3-5 minutes. The steeping time can be adjusted depending on how strong you prefer your tea.
Strain and Serve: Remove the tea leaves by straining the tea into a cup or removing the tea infuser.

i first bought a packet of this tea from an Asian supermarket, then i googled to see if i could get it again and found this site, it is slightly cheaper than what i paid in the shop exactly the same tea i drink lots of tea and have for the last few years just drunk it black no milk or sugar, yes there are some twigy bits in it but it makes a good cup of tea not bitter or astringent, a 500g pack lasts me a full month good tea good value
Surprisingly good. With a generous serving and plenty of time to brew, this really is quite flavourful and balanced.Large leaves and appears to be minimally processed. Some twig and stem, but not enough to be concerned about; I may have gotten a better batch than other reviewers.Considering the price this is excellent value.
Did not dispatch the following day or the day after, only dispatched on the following week when I wrote an email asking where were my goods.
Me and my wife like this tea. First time we had this tea in Swiss and not fan of this.
Best Ceylon tea, I buy this regularly . Unlike other brands this one has full dried tea leaves not just tea dust. Flavour is excellent.
Not great. Lots of twiggy bits, not good quality rolled tea leaves. It’s not very flavourful either. I won’t buy again.
Good value. It is a rough course ground tea. Good Ceylon flavour.
A+
Great tea thanks
happy
Purchased this on a number of occasionsHighly recommend this tea. Only once had a problem with a delivery, contacted company and this was sorted out within 10 to 15 min of contact. I wish all companies could deal a problem as swiftly as Bakkalim.Great work looking to excellent cup of tea
Nice, but a lot of the weight is taken up with stalks and sticks. So adjust the value down by about 20%, and if there is a better option, go with that.
I don't have milk in tea and this large leaf Ceylon tea is perfect for me
Lovely tea. Only like weak tea so just a 'quick dip' to get correct strength.Last for ages.Reminds me of ceylon tea I had in Cyprus in a smashing cafe where one of the young workers told me, when I asked "What is this lovely tea?". He replied it was from where he was born, Sri Lanka.
Makes a good pot of tea
Great tasting tea, just weaker than the stronger brews that I have been used to. I'm happy with the product and it came in 4 packages so I can freshly open the next once I finish the first!
Great taste, good strength, brews well. Price reasonable.
We visited Sri Lanka recently and came back with a load of tea which is totally different to the 'dust off the floor' we buy in the UK. We have almost finished it so wanted to find something else instead of going back to our UK tea. This has the lovely clean taste of the one we bought from Sri Lanka but for 3 cups we are putting in 4 heaped scoops (normally we use a scoop per cup) and leaving it to brew for around 9 minutes and it still doesn't quite have the strength we want (we have varied how many scoops we use and how long to brew for) so is still a bit of trial and error. So nice clean and fresh taste but does lack a little in strength.
excellent product great service
always taste good!!
Delightful tasting tea well worth the cost thank you
